In 1995, the X-Files was one of a handful of TV shows accepting spec scripts. I wrote two X-Files teleplays (above) in February and had a TV writer read them. She loved them so much she recommended me to her agent, who soon agreed to represent me. My rep mailed the specs to the production company, but by the time the scripts should have been read, the company had decided to stop reading specs and returned my two teleplays in its original envelope, unopened, unread.
